Bishnah is a small town, 23km away from Jammu city. Formerly it was a visiting sub-station of St. Peter`s church, Jammu. Then bishop of Jammu-Srinagar diocese Rt.Rev.Hippolitus Kunnumkal expressed his desire to FCC sisters to have a convent there to carry on the pastoral works and social activities. The convent was blessed and inaugurated in 1983. The sisters began teaching in the diocesan school which was inaugurated in the same year. Our main apostolate is education and faith formation. The first superior was Sr. Lissette. The pioneers were Rev. Sr. Lissette, Mother Leander and Sr. Rosy Josphine and Sr. Shephy Thekkudan. Fatima Convent School is one of the best educational institutions in Bishnah.
