Shampura is a small picturesque village atop a hillock 10 k.m away from Sagar town M.P. St. Francis convent was opened here by the inspiration and invitation of late Rt. Rev. Dr. Clemense Thottungal in Sagar diocese. St. Francis orphanage of the diocese was managed by the sisters of St. Joseph of Chambery formerly. The orphanage was handed over to FCC sisters `s care as they left the mission station on their own reasons in 1979. Rev. Mother Alphia , Rev. Mother Ceela, Late Mother . Demetria and Sr. Leen Joseph were the pioneers who initially took care of the children. Two sisters are teaching in the diocesan Hindi medium school, while one sister is fully engaged in healing ministry
